I’m an an editor, writer, and horse girl with a passion for contemporary romance and its sub-genres. (And coffee. Big passion for coffee.)

I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2005 with a B.A. in English focused on professional writing and editing. After years of paying the bills editing government reports about airport runway pavement and emergency management strategies, I decided it was time to move into a field that sparked a little more (or any) joy: editing romance novels. 10/10, no regrets, would recommend.

I live in Virginia with my husband and two teenage daughters, along with two dogs, a horse, and an ever-changing number of pet rats (pet tax paid below).

Doozer is a cat in a dog’s body. A grumpy cat, not one of the silly ones.

Obie is a menace and the most unserious dog to ever exist.

I do not deserve Tink, but what I lack in riding skill, I make up for in carrots.

Our original rat trio: Pretzel in the back, Bean on the right, Olive in the front. (I think. It’s hard to tell when they’re in a pile who’s who.)

No pet tax is complete without Torg. He’s no longer with us, but I will always include him.
